Chris Kenny

Nonsuch (White Map Circle), 2007
24" x 24" x 3", constructed with map pieces

Chris Kenny was born in London and studied art history at the Courtauld Institute. He produces an unexpected kind of poetry with his three-dimensional constructions made from twigs, fragments of maps and strips of found text. Objects or phrases of the same type are mounted on pins and organised in a way that suggests an intention to rationalise the differences between them. Represented by England & Co, he will have recent works included in the gallery's December 2007 exhibition.

You know, Chris kenny is brilliant. Why I never think that a piece of map or even twigs could be AMAZING art :) I found a lot of great art that he made up. GORGEOUS!!!

Chris Kenny is the real artist who has created an amazing art. It looks complicated, isn't it? Unfortunately, I didn't know that there was exhibition of his work in 2007. I hope that exhibition would be held again this year.

One of my favorite galleries will be the Chris Kenny at England & Co. I envy him for having innovative ideas and create beautiful artwork. I wish I could come to Chris Kenny's next solo exhibition at England & Co in June 2011.

Chris Kenny has a new exhibition at England & Co from 10 June - 9 July 2011. See the England & Co gallery website for images and further information. In July the gallery is publishing a 60 page monograph on Kenny's work with essays and illustrations covering his practice over the past decade.

Chris Kenny is a great artist. There are no artists who can create three-dimensional construction like Chris Kenny. I hope, the exhibition will be held again in 2011 and I will be enthusiastic to come to the Chris Kenny's exhibition.
